Salli Lewis, Ph.D. Dr. Salli Lewis is a licensed clinical psychologist, with expertise in the assessment and treatment of traumatic event exposure, as well as the provision of empirically-supported evaluation and therapy. Dr. Lewis earned her Bachelors degree in psychology from Loyola University-Chicago, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Following, she earned her doctoral degree from West Virginia University and completed her residency at the National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center (NCVC) at the Medical University of South Carolina. Following, she was a clinical faculty member at Marshall University, providing doctoral training in data-driven assessment and treatment. Further, she directed the Interpersonal Violence Research and Prevention Laboratory, examining risk factors, physical, and psychological sequelae, secondary to traumatic event exposure. She was an active grant-maker in both private and federal domains. Since re-locating to North Carolina in 2005 with her family, Dr. Lewis has worked as a consulting psychologist, providing clinical evaluations, trauma-focused treatment, and program evaluation research. Dr. Lewis has authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications and provides training and professional presentations on evidenced-based practices and the interface between science and clinical application. |
